The Power of Questioning Everything

As we live, we form habits.  What habits serve you?  What habits used to serve you and may not anymore.  Why do you do something, anything?  Isn’t it worth examining, looking at, contemplating?

I get up every morning and I drink coffee.  Ok, is that good, bad, worth changing, worth examining, doing in a different way? So someone, actually two people, told me the healthy thing to do is drink a quart of water right when you wake up.  So I now do this.  And then I drink coffee.  A slight shift, and it creates an amazing health benefit, and it is very easy to do.

Now what kind of water are you drinking?  Not purified I hope.  Question the question. Question the solution.  Question parts of the solution.

So in this daily living of this miraculous gift of life, where the sun dances on the kitchen table, where two friends meet at a bar, not to just drink, but to talk of life, of new inventions, where you discuss the idea that you can do whatever you want.  You can think new thoughts, isn’t it worth to at least begin to ask better questions?

Asking better questions, gets you better answers, gets you to look deeply at something, anything, like your relationships, your finances, so that your dreams can get out of the bag, out of your brain-bucket onto the tarmac so they can take off.

Question all authority. Question the government, laws, supposedly sacred truths.  Question the esoteric and the super mundane.  Question the ordinary and the mundane.  Question your sleep patterns.  Question why you believe you should question, examine, wonder about all the things you do in your life.

Question the difference between questioning and contemplation, refection, meditation and wonder.

Today, make a list of your habits, the things you do over and over, and ask why?  Ask is there a better way, is there a more refined way, is there a more expansive and effective way that can get you there faster, can enhance the routine, can change the routine so each little step can (in time) create huge impacts?  Like saving 10% of your income, having a dept plan, having a wealth plan, having a personal development plan, an entertainment plan, a new direction, tacking in the winds so that you can change your life, help people you care about and the world out there with resolve and determination, and a deeper look at what you are really doing in any section, time slot, daily moments, that can shift your entire life into a place you have never been or experienced before.

Question how you help and give and serve.  Are you helping or doing more harm?

Question your beliefs.  Can you upgrade a belief?  How do you do this? Is there a belief that controls you, that controls your health, throttles your wealth, your limiting ways you show up in this life?  Are there beliefs that run in your mind that are more unconscious than conscious that are limiting who you are, who you can be, what is still possible for you to do and be and achieve in this magical world.

Is it really a magical world?  Why do you think it is?

Examine, look hard, decide if there are better ways to work, to travel, to interact, to lead, to inspire yourself, to help and give and serve and leave an impact and legacy on what you still have the vision and calling to accomplish with your untapped potential, with your gifts and talents that are itching to expand?

Question what your talents really are. Question what limitations you have placed on these God-given gifts and refine them, explore them, expand them so you can fly instead of crawl at the speed of fear and doubt and anemic vision.

Today, this day, question everything:  Your very existence.  Why you are here?  What eulogy will they read when you are gone?  What life sentence will they say about you?  Are you living, did you live, that life sentence?

For me, at this age, by one-liner, one sentence that I live by is…”To inspire and attract more inspiring people.”

But is that enough?  Is that really my highest calling?  And can it be elevated, expanded and pushed farther out?  And if that is clear (soul clear), truth embodied, then how do I massively get that vision, mission, passion, purpose out there?

Do I inspire only those who are in my sphere?  Or can I inspire people I have never met, though blogs, and books, and podcasts, video, and a ripple effect, where a concept or my business expands into new markets and changes and inspires others I have never and may never meet.

Questioning, wondering, creating better ideas, better systems, better people to run those systems, isn’t that a mission of an entrepreneur.  And in your heart, are you not an entrepreneur, a creator of your own brand of destiny, that is alarmingly remarkable, that will leave a trail of wonder, a legacy that lives beyond the linear time lines you believe you are confined inside, within?

Question what you will do from now on, not what you have done, not what was once possible, but question the clarity of your purpose, your intent, your anticipation of what is going to pass, what you want to happen, what you will have a hand in, that makes it happen, in the most delightful and unimaginable ways?  Should it be delightful?

You are now free to roam around the cosmic universe.
