Hot Air Balloons, Texas and Bags of Loot

Hot Air Balloons, Texas and Bags of Loot

I was talking to my seven year old as it was time to sleep, and she loves rambling and talking and avoiding going to bed; then she says, “My dream is to move to Texas.”

And, of course, I asked why, and she went on to say, “Because they have lots of horses there, and lots of flat land….”

Also, her aunt lives there, near Dallas, and they have 5 or more horses….might be the draw.

I smiled, being from Colorado, where many Texans love to come to vacation; and though I may not agree about moving to Texas, who cares; it is her little dream in her seven year old mind.

Dreams are what you make of them.  Some say your dreams may not come true.  I ask, why not?

Keep looking forward.  Keep striving for them…dust them off.  An older woman I met yesterday has a dream of opening up olive oil shops, four of them.  And yesterday I went into her one shop already opened and it was so interesting.  You could test olive oil from around the world.  My favorite I tried, with a soft bread crumb in a tiny plastic cup, was her chipotle olive oil with a big kick.

Not long ago, I met a multimillionaire.  He didn’t have to work, was 76, and his dream was now was to get his 5 books published….meaning if elderly people are dreaming, what is stopping you from dreaming big, fighting and striving and reaching and grabbing hold, having the balls inside to create the world you want on the outside.

The other day I went to a seminar and the CEO, president and chairman of the board (same guy by the way) of US Bank, fourth largest bank in America, talked about the state of the union, the economy.  And his main message, a banker if you can image that (very conservative by the way) was that we create what we anticipate.

What is it that you anticipate, that is humming in your soul, that keeps up at night because it is so inspiring to think about, to dwell upon, to rise up and kick ass and go for it with the passion of a person madly driven toward an unstoppable dream that is unfolding, rolling out like a red carpet in your mind, into the pliant universe, just waiting for you to take massive action.

And why in the world would you want to take massive action in the direction of your dreams? What is the point?  Why do it?

Because it is fun and filled with pure excitement…it creates your adventure, and dots the landscape of your journey with magic.

What else are you going to do?  Sit around and watch TV?  Feel sorry for yourself because you are not willing to engage, go for it and take action?

Have the resolve to make your life in the image of your own clarity of believing!

At this time in the spring, near the incredibly beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, the robins appear, the flowers begin to bloom and fill the air with scents so spectacular, they haven’t been noticed for months…the geese fly over honking…and the best, most powerful thing in the skies…are the hot air balloons.

These balloons are drawn into the skies with exploding colors; they float and rise above—and to me they are the pure indication, the revelation of dreams, of wonderment, of something so phenomenal that most people look up and are caught in a static state of awe— a reminder of dreams, of what they still want to do.

So fly, rise above, go get one of your faraway dreams.  Make massive amounts of money to help people and live your own ecstatic life of dreams unfolding.

So as you decide to play through this day, look for hot air balloons, tickets to Texas and jewels and gold and treasures that are waiting for you to discover, uncover and create in your life, no matter what age, no matter what stage, no matter who or where you are.

Believe in your dreams, for they are the stuff life is really made of…for the rest is just hearsay and heresy on the roadways of those not willing to live the high adventure.

And make a commitment to take that hot air balloon ride, for it is a reminder of all of the greatest things that still await you in your perfect life.
