3 P’s: The Philosophy of Achievement

In life, in the success we seek, what if we simplified it all into three letters, three words, three ideas, that can encompass most all achievement and happiness; let’s say a roadmap, the GPS, a guiding light, the pointing toward and the indentifying of — how to get there from here. How to use here (right now) where you are, to get to there, the vision you have in your head. How to live the most spectacular life?

I think in all streams of thinking, in all paradigms, categories and inlets into insight, there is always an overlay: An overlay that explains conservative or liberal politics, or those slippery independents. Seems there is always a constructed overlay on how to have better health, more wealth, be it a better speaker, writer or presenter.

There are overlays for doing more, acting more correctly whether you are a banker, a baker, a musician, an actor, a sportscaster, a TV anchor, a sage, as all have ways, rules, constructs, patterns for doing and working on their crafts.

And yet, just for fun, in this overlay game, these made up rules to help you to do a thing, the things important to your success…let’s try another one: How do we create a simple overlay for: “The philosophy of achievement?”  The 3 “Ps.”

First “P” is power, your power, the power of who you are, and how you show up — your presence of being.  You can become more powerful in all that you do.  For the more powerful you are (even the more powerful you perceive yourself to be), the more you will exert influence in your world. Then the more people and opportunities will be attracted to you.

Be this power.  Believe in your personal influence and irresistible energy and those people and powerful moments will appear. Doors will pry open. Insights will happen. You become hugely action-oriented. You create greatness, powerful feelings, sky-high emotions and the results you want.  You float above the rabble and the discourse and venting of coarse reality that used to hold you back.

Questions! Where do you get this power? How do you get this power? How can you maintain it, use it in a daily consistency of focus and clarity and inspiration?

First buy a new belief: I am power?  Repeat that out loud.  Speak it your office, in your car, before you go into an important meeting.

Power comes from you becoming more effective at who you really are, who you are meant to be: A seer, a sage, wisdom embodied from living an enlightened life.  Do the right things that are noble and good as these right actions give you more power.

True power comes from a connection to the infinite, to the cosmic power that is Omni-everything: Omnificent, omnipresent, omnipotent. And as you tack, more actually, “align yourself” with this power, this deep inward sentiment, you become action-oriented, influential, irresistible and charismatic.  You get the results you seek.

Then the world will flow through your veins.  You are unstoppable — a force within to achieve the most incredulous things outwardly.

How do you maintain this power, this inner truth and strength that is as abundant as oxygen?  Believe power is always in you, with you and that you (always) have access to it.

Believe this power flows through the mind that is in alignment, that is filled with whole, wholesome, good; a mind dedicated to its own dream (and dreaming it into reality).  You create more personal power and regenerate it with your clarity of vision and consistent action with a defined purpose.

Power within comes first and the actual thing in reality then appears.

The second “P” is planning: Get a plan, a line of sight, a handful of priorities in the next 90 days that are exciting and inspirational.  Lay down a map; how to get there. What end result do you want? What desired outcome do you have in the illusive future? Now back that (future) goal into numbers and tractable measures, specific efforts and actions, then back it all the way into this present moment.

“A good plan today is better than a great plan tomorrow.”— George S. Patton. A plan is your template to put over reality; it guides your mind in the direction (more importantly in the execution) of your dreams, of what you want to create and make happen. This will attract to you your most prized and inspiring “present and future.”

Plan with tools and systems and with new ideas. Dig into what others have developed and use their tools.  Say you want to build a business, use the tools of Verne Harnish, all downloadable off his website www.gazelles.com: One page strategic plans. One page personal plans.  One page everything, very cool.

Get a plan, a way to travel down the road: Daily actions, weekly, monthly, a 90 day action plan. Focus is king. Sure you still need to tack in the wind.  Sure, you may need to change directions, tweak it, revise it, modify it, but at least get it on paper. Why? It clarifies your dream.  Having it plan will absolutely let you run circles around those geniuses who have no plan.

The third “P” is persistence, for nothing great can be accomplished without it. Persistence is how you use your power consistently; it is how you implement and execute your plan; it is how you never give up and put in consistent action, focused energy day after day, moment by moment: This automatically gives you more power.

Then you get the most amazing things done.  Then your dreams appear.   You will break through because you keep pushing and moving in the direction of greater possibilities.  As Brian Tracy wrote, discipline is vital, and “persistence is discipline in action.”

Use these 3 P’s every day, as they feed on and support each other in the most magical ways and you will achieve the most startling yet expected and desired results.

“Success/happiness is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or goal.” — Earle Nightingale.

Today, create and invent your dreams. Be forever engaged in this “progressive realization,” as you enjoy it all, and embrace it all.

You are power. You will become more and more powerful by daily concentrating on these 3 P’s.  You will actualize this philosophy of achievement through in your experiences in all the years still up ahead.

You can do so much more than you presently realize. You are power. You are unstoppable.
