The Power of Ideas #5016

What should we talk about, think about, peruse, gather together and explore?  I was listening to Sara Blakely on an audio program, the youngest self-made billionaire, and she said, her and her entrepreneurial husband (who owns a private jet company) talk about ideas, not people, but ideas.  And, she went on to explain, that when he comes home and he says I have an idea that can change the world, she is excited, believes him, doesn’t say, “Oh, that is not possible.”

So what if we all concentrated on talking about ideas, things that we can create, ideas about how the universe works, about the law of vibration, about new inventions, new ways to influence, grow a dream, grow a team?  Otherwise, is it not routine and the status quo, and “that is the way it is always been done” that needs to be shattered, at least challenged and wondered about, and refined, and changed and enhanced?

Life is more about wonder and awe and being enthralled, than about the regurgitation of information that is so often a major focus in our educational systems.

I think after being in my own business since 1997, I really have figured out the purpose of my business, and my life:  To inspire and attract other inspiring people.

What do inspiring people do?  They have fun, they talk about ideas, they create, invent, are easy to work with as they do not play the blame game.  They are fun to be around, are always filled with new ideas, ways to help, to serve, to encourage, to grow an idea, to plant seeds and leave shade for other generations.

So what if we took most of our time, in our families, in our businesses, in our interactions with customers, and employees, and at events, and meeting new people to discuss ideas, to use thought time as a luxury, a refreshing engagement of the highest order, could we not change lives, change the world, stay inspired and spread that higher vibration, more attracting energies to influence our lives, and the lives of those we meet, find the rulers of the world, the movers and instigators, those with a dream, who are going somewhere, those who have a purpose, a burning desire, a focus, and will not settle for the shackling of ordinary mediocrity?

So the warning:  And you know this.  You have heard and come across this idea (but can we not be reminded of the profound things we already know?), but this time, from now on, most of the time at least let’s act on this very life changing idea: Be ever so careful who you are willing to spend your time with.

Stay around idea people, high energy people, those who cast out the demons of too much and misplaced cynicism.  Run from those who are deemed “the critics.”

Get yourself around inspiring people, and you will live an inspiring life.
