Ask Not… Jan. 20th, 1961

In his famous speech, JFK said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

What if you and I applied this to everything we did?  Ask not what your company can do for you, ask not what your family can do, your spouse, your children, your business associates, ask not what anyone and/or anything can do for you, and get busy, doing for yourself?  “Get busy working harder on yourself than you do on your job,” said Jim Rohn, harder on yourself than you spend time in front of the TV, than you spend time on your computers, video games, on wasting time on all the newest electronics.

Ask not what this life can give you and get busy giving more, creating more, designing a life, rather than worrying and fretting and asking the wrong questions that give you more refracted and twisted answers: Why am I unhappy?  Why is the world causing this, doing this to me?  Why is it that I don’t have enough?  Why am I not excited? Why don’t I have the success I should?

Ask better questions like, “What in me is creating this?”  What in me is making me unhappy?  What in me is making me be in poor health, overweight, not in peak states of inspired living?  What can I do (or perceive) differently to create a different more empowering outcome?

Many people are looking for a reason on the outside why they have a problem on the inside; the problem is on the inside.  You can shuffle everything around on the outside, but that is usually not the solution.  First make a commitment to examine what is going on the inside, and realize it is up to you to be happy and peaceful and act from this state of being, then your actions will be aligned with your passions and dreams.

Most people focus on what is not good, and completely forget, don’t see, don’t even acknowledge all that is good in their lives, what they surely can be grateful for, what blessings they have each day.

The most powerful thing you can do for those who love you is to become a happy person, a person who shares love, who is  excited about what  they want in life, and does not keep using excuses on why these things are not coming into their lives.

Don’t ask why the world is not perfect or even why your life is not perfect.  Ask why you will not accept that you are perfect, why you have not let yourself be brilliant, and inspired.

It is not something on the outside stopping you, it is always something on the inside holding you back.

Gandhi: “Become the changes you wish to see in the world.”  Become the changes you wish to see in others.  Life is an inside game.  Life is up to you to go for your dreams.  No one is holding you back from optimum health, from financial freedom, from a happy family life, from living the life that you desire.

Ask why you are not in perfect harmony with yourself?   When in perfect harmony with you, the perfect you, then life becomes perfect: There are no fretful tomorrows or sorrows or difficulties—there is but bliss and wonder.  This is up to you, not anyone else.

Find peace with who you are, and the world will align itself, the changes will happen naturally, all will see your shining spirit and embrace you: Do not be in turmoil because you can choose a much better path instead.

Be absolutely peaceful with who you are: Most make light of this, many will shun this, but being at complete peace with who you are…will elevate you to levels of perceptions, states of being where your issues will melt away, things that you perceived were so bad, worrisome, difficult will float away because your perfect energy dispels the myth.  You will begin to see what you are supremely thankful for, instead of so distraught with your outer life, because your inner life is now in sync, in harmony, and all of life will be in focus and pure happiness will be everywhere and every-when.

Focus on what is bad (even just a little) and more bad will appear; you will see it everywhere. Focus on what is good, what you have that is wonderful, on the children, your relationships, the opportunities that surround you, and you will see this truth with deeper eyes.  You will see with your soul rather than your eyes that want to gather more reasons why you are not enjoying and loving every moment of your perfect life.

This is choice.  But most want to blame it on outside circumstances, on the economy, on  others outside of themselves, and many will go to their  graves convinced that the world, their relationships, all were the reasons why they did not fully live and appreciate their wonderful lives.  This instant, take full responsibility for everything in your life and you take full responsibility to live the perfect life.

Be ever so careful of rationalization, as anyone can rationalize anything, to fit into their own prejudiced world of why things are not the way they want them to be.

Be peaceful and happy with who you are, and the rest will fall into place like pieces of a puzzle, like sunshine on the beach…like the beauty that always surrounds you.

           “Peace is always beautiful.”—Walt Whitman.
