Help Yourself First!

Help Yourself First!

How in this crazy world where there are a 100 mouths to feed, where there are 1,000 things that must be done, where there are 10,000 things pulling for your attention…how, in this world do you, can you, will you, should you help yourself first?

When you are sick, or tired, or distraught, or warbling, or out of sync, or in dire straits, or worried, or frazzled, or detained, or restrained… how in the world can you help your children, your family, the friends you hold dear?

Ok, yes, that was a rhetorical question.

To have a huge impact on your world, on the people in it, on your bank account, on your hope account, you absolutely must take care of yourself first.

This is not selfish, this is the only way to truly inspire those who depend on you, those you love, those who are looking to you for guidance and leadership and sportsmanship and showmanship.

Do the things that make you not only tick, but purr, and run smooth and create so much energy in and within yourself that you have a ton to spare, more to give, and your life—and the people you truly care about—will benefit, will grow with you and will be taught by example how to care for themselves, how to exacerbate doubt, and express their own brand of perfection.

Ways to take care of yourself: Eat close the nature; sleep the hours you need; exercise and fill your blood with more oxygen; walk in the forests and take huge, deep breaths.

Do the things that inspire you.  Control your ever wandering mind, so you focus on that which is wholesome, unifying and complete. Smile.  Use humor. Have Fun. Play. Engage. Believe in a purpose, your purpose.  Dedicate yourself to the completion of a dream.  Dedicate yourself to a worthy ideal that spurs you on.

Read worthy manuscripts. Believe that you are creative, then believe you can continually be more creative and use that creativity to enhance and create any reality as you wish to see it.

Enjoy your life most of the time.  But also be willing to do the difficult things, do them to completion and this will release personal power and endorphins.

Be relentless in your pursuits of your highest ideals, your purpose and meaning, to give and care and create and leave a legacy in the wake of your purposeful life.

Love.  Be of good cheer.  Surround yourself with likeminded beings who are of superior energy and dedicated to living a joyous and successful life.  Take time to reflect and contemplate and simply be in awe of the mystery and let bewilderment gather in the mind and stir your soul.

Realize you are the captain of your soul. You are the leader of your own life, and that everything begins with a thought, begins with you.

So think better, more inspiring, playful, higher consciousness thoughts that uplift and encourage and get you so excited about life that you must do the things, the actions, the focus to make them so.

Believe in yourself. Believe in others who have a dream and are willing to step into that dream, take a chance on that dream and watch it create something wonderful.

Take time for yourself, to enrich your soul, to settle back and watch, to let this eternal world touch your soul and bring you back to what is valuable, like blue skies and mountaintops and silent woods and blue jays in the morning.

See this beauty that abounds and take all these precious moments to enjoy the field of sunflowers, the dawn, the sunsets, the shooting stars…the incredibly magical parts that are near you, at the tip of your awareness if you have the mind to see, the heart to see and the expanse of and eternal being to see.

Take care of yourself first, and you will be able to encourage the world, change the world, enjoy the very essence of who you are and what is really going on…all over this magical planet earth.
