Not too long ago I was on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, and had the pleasure to be at a resort, sitting along a little sandy cove; we were in our beach chairs in perfect warm weather. And as I sat there, I noticed a beautiful boat, buoyed in the middle of the bay; it looked like it had always been anchored there. And on the side of the boat was a saying that I thought was absolutely profound, the exactness of life that we all dream about: “Someday Came!”
Ok, right now, today, this is your life, your day, your new area of more possibilities, so now what? “Act as if,” and that “if” will become your perfect life, the life you have dreamed of.
Don’t we all want something more? A greater impact, more glory, a larger circle of influence, a way to get from here to there, how to get from here to there faster, how to get from here to there, and actually know where the hell “here” and “there” actually is, yes?
So this day, play it again: “Act as if,” as if you are already arrived. Act as if you have created the multimillion dollar project, and it is humming along. “Act as if” you could walk into any room and the whispers would begin: There is that famous person. Wow, look the way he dresses, his confidence. [Ok, so I borrowed this from Jim Rohn.]
“Act as if” all that you desire is here already. You got it. Someday came. Your world is aligned. All the right people show up and do their jobs: The Swiss watch of your life works exact and perfectly.
“Act as if” your inner circle has appeared and they are here to guide you. The imagined life has shown up and is here for you to enjoy. Your ship came in, and it sails out on time, with all the supplies for your adventure around the world.
“Act as if” you have arrived, and that everything you want and need and crave and strive for, everything that is out there, just outside your grasp, just outside your comfort zone, is here with you, inside you, appearing in your reality — all that you have every wanted is showing up as we speak.
“Act as if” all that you wanted to do, is done. The rest is enjoying it more, letting it dance upon the chance of time, on the edge of getting to your “there.”
For when you “act as if,” as if what has dangled too long in your imagination, in the vision of what will someday be, is now here, has arrived, then all the accoutrements, all the glory, the accolades, the dressings of such superior success, such powerful happiness is here. It has shown up. Now all you need to do is guide the glory, tell the story, bask in the amazement of what has happened.
And it continues to happen, why? Because you know what you wanted to have happen, has happened: Someday came.
All that you have ever wanted has been clarified. You have it, got it, begot and became it. Now you get the most prized of surprises: You get to experience it, and let it grow as natural as spring grass, as settling as a sauna on a Sunday, as momentous as you stepping into the greatness of your imagined and defined dreams.
Today, “act as if” you have everything you need: All the connections, all the enjoyment, all the experience, all the wisdom, the line-of-sight from here to there, all the resources; but most of all, you have self-defined you — the expression of who you knew you could become.
You are now unwavering confidence. You are now that visionary. You are now filled with the power to enjoy it all and guide it to unraveling bigger and better and a more expansive expression of who you are.
You can do it all, enjoy it all, have it all. What you seek begins to seek you, to form (in huge proportions) in your real, physical world.
“Nothing succeeds like success. And you now function successfully because you let yourself experience success.”— From Psycho-Cybernetics.
And this success follows you everywhere. You let it swell within you; it exudes from your every pore. You are the success you have always sought. “Act as if” the vision you imagined is now real. Then this trail of wonder, this absolute feeling of who and what you have attained, is let out in a pure expression of who you have become.
This is your life; it is being catapulted to new levels, new experiences, as you attract to your spinning energies, your red carpet dreams that are being rolled out from “here to there.”
“Act as if,” and the “as if” is you; it is your life. It is the proverbial life you desire, not because it is something to find or discover or get to, but because it is now the power of who you really are…just like Michelangelo who let the angel out of the stone. Act as if you have let the legacy of who you are, out: You have freed your dreams.
Become your someday, then you get to enhance the glory of your life, this day, this moment, in all that you do. See and become and share with others still locked in stone and help them realize, they too can carve out their some-days.
“Act as if…..” Is there anything else you need to know, along fruited plains of your most exalted existence? “Act as if” someday came. And it will keep coming like never-ending prosperity, the fountain of youth, a goldmine with veins of gold that run all the way to the center of the earth.
You are the visionary whose day has come, whose destiny has arrived, who is now powerful enough to create it all, experience it all, and to attract the right people.
Just start believing and realizing: Someday Came!
