“I’ve Gotta ….Cause…”

Inspired from Tommy Barnett of the Dream Center in Los Angeles

In this life, your life, in what you want, there is a difference between a dream and a cause.  For a cause is creating a change, a way to influence, to help, to serve, to give, to make an impact on this world.

Find a meaningful purpose to what you do, and work with what you’ve got.  You may not have to change jobs, or change states, or change everything….  You may, and usually can, make and turn and create a cause to help those right now, in your business, in your neighborhoods, in your life, in your immediate sphere of influence.

What is your cause, your mission, your scintillating passion, your bliss that can and will and shall impact people, life and your communities?

Find this and you will be on your way.  If you believe you have already found this, then hone it, detail it, make it huge and bigger and more valuable to those who you come in contact with and can get in front of everyday.

Remember, what you do is meaningful, and how you do it can be more purposeful, more helpful, more impactful with the right attitude, with an expanded attitude that you may never have had before.

And as you clarify, expand your cause, create a cause that will change planet earth, then you will be stepping into your power, your piqued ecstasy.  You will fear not.  You will rise above the naysayers, and become more that you ever dreamed possible.

I saw a speaker yesterday, who was a pastor, who took a part of the inner city of LA and turned an abandoned 400,000 square foot hospital into a dream center for the homeless and the drug addicts and the prostitutes, the gang members and their families.  This safe haven is for these people.  He now has over a 100 of these dream centers around the world.

His cause is changing lives… and this cause, this dream, started out with nothing, but a congregation of 2, and is now massively helping people, filling the needs of 50,000 people a month, with a cause.

Your cause is the inner core of your dream, a powerful and incredible, so often magical…engine that fuels change…a way that can change lives.

As you change lives, those lives will find a way to change you, to give back to you, to uncover dreams that are inside of you that you do not even know are there.

According to Tommy, “Dreams can be hidden, and only released when you serve more, may only be shown to you after you commit to the finish line, commit to a cause that is burning in your heart.”

These were the messages of Tommy Barnet, a white man, never raised on the streets, whose mission is to change the worlds of those who are in pain, those who live in the shadows of life, and he has brought them into the sunlight, into the world of hope.

He asks every person who comes to his dream center: “What is your dream?”

And they usually say to survive, and he says, “We are here for you…you will survive.  Now what is your dream?”

Image a 17 year old, pregnant prostitute, finding her dream, or a drug addict, losing their addiction, and being asked to dream again.

Find a cause within your faraway dream, and you will clarify, hone, become a force that can do anything; and then you can help the many and will have an impact on this world.

You are alive so make a difference.  Reach into your heart and find a cause that will create a wake of wonder, a chance for those who may have lost their dreams along the way, a change for those who are stuck, or not completely clear on what they want.

Do this and you will change yourself and others in ways you cannot yet even realize.

Become the cause that is given to you, your gift inside to give back and make an incredible difference in the lives of others.

What else is there, really?
