To create a world of pure success, of happiness and bliss, to realize all your dreams, to make them come true, to invent, contemplate and engage and overcome and solve and resolve and inspire and aspire, you need to be all in; and what does that really mean?
According to the most successful people in the world who talk on success, be it Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Kevin Trudeau, Brian Tracy, Michael Gerber, Brad Sugars, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill, Andrew Carnegie (to name a few), you need to create, manufacture, fan the flame of a burning desire, an obsessive passion, and create a searing focus of a major definite purpose, and then go for it—get 100% in.
This highest aspiration, chief aim, definiteness of purpose, needs to be personal, about you, what you can get behind and excited about. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, or some amazing idea, or incredibly deep purpose…it just needs you to be on fire and behind it.
For example, according to Andrew Carnegie, the richest man in the world at the beginning of the 20th century…what was his definiteness of purpose do you think?
Was it to make a lot of money? Was it to inspire his thousands of employees at the time? Was it to surround himself with smarter people than himself like Charles Swab? What was his major definite purpose?
It was: “The making and market of steel.” Nothing fancy, or inspiring, but he found a way to become so obsessive, so passionate, that he thought about it all the time, and created a determined energy to become the absolute best in the world at this, and created a massive fortune.
Now, after he did accomplish this, I believe his overriding obsession was to leave another legacy: The Philosophy of American Achievement, which he did through the interviews, connections and information he poured into Napoleon Hill.
But in order to leave this legacy, he first had to create massive success himself, so that he would be able leave the 17 principles of success that were actual, that absolutely worked for him.
Manufacture an obsessive desire around something you love, you are good at, and you can change the lives of many; it can be mundane like the make and marketing of steel may seem on the surface; but through this obsession Andrew Carnegie helped many, many people, influenced some of the greatest minds of humanity.
Use your own benefit, value, service or product to become the absolute—end-of- discussion—best and watch a fortune grow. Watch your world of wealth become real, as the revenues flow in, as your health gets better, as your relationships become deeper and stronger, and your resolve to accomplish anything you set your mind to appears in the real, material reality of your life.
Be 100% in. Not 90%, not 42%, not marginally committed. Be 100% into creating the success in any area of your life; then you cannot fail. You will easily rise above any circumstance or any challenge. You will amaze everyone who knows you: You will amaze yourself.
Find a cause, a dream, a business, something you can clearly get behind, and be 100% in.
A friend of mine’s wife had tried to lose weight for years, could never get the weight off. She went to her doctor, and he had bad news, told her she had diabetes. Her father had died of diabetes at 45 and she was now older than that.
Immediately she was 100% in, lost 25 pounds, kept the weight off to this day and has no diabetes.
Find a way to be 100% in on your dream, what you want to show up in your life, in creating anything, absolutely anything you can bring yourself to believe, and then, pay the price, put in the energy and watch all your dreams come true.
Yes, it is that simple.
