There are So Many Stars!
Where do you live, let yourself stay? Is it perhaps under a constant canopy of artificial light, not even noticing or even remembering the countless stars that rain down on an acute mind that is willing and wanting to venture into the countryside?
Last night I drove to my 1906 cabin tucked away at 9,000 feet in the secluded Rocky Mountains.
I got out of my car, looked up…and it was as if I had never seen such amassed beauty, as if I had never seen the exploding and dense awe that is there every moment of every night— billions of stars shedding light upon the searching and chattering minds so often lost in the city, behind steering wheels, stuck at red lights, behind TV’s and the incandescents, behind the human-created worlds of collaboration, clatter and chatter, that is so far removed from this secret bewilderment, this perfect awe-inspiring reality that gives the human mind a tiny opening to eternity, a chance, a glimpse into the “infinite intelligence,” God spread out in parsecs of wonder.
Get out of Dodge, out past the city limits and the city lights, past those cell phone towers and the constant barrage of radio waves and the EMF’s and social, never-ending commotions.
Let your mind touch upon the Canyon lands, nature near you, or the tip of the Rocky Mountains to gaze “from sea to shining sea.” Let your being get so immersed in a forest, sit near a creek, listen to the blue jays and the squirrels—delve into this absolute truth that whispers on the fringes of social convention.
There are so many stars! Get away from the city and look into the secluded skies. Let your mind tune in to the highest, most profound frequencies that will lift you into this cosmic perfection shedding and reigning light upon your lucid awareness.
Your mission may be to go and witness these stars. Make it a goal, 50 times a year, to give you a reason to get out of town, to inspire who you really are, so as to realize that you have real stardust in your cells, that you, yourself, do come from this cosmic wonderland.
