The God Element
Everything is God, is the handshake of this higher source, a microscope looking out into the macrocosm, a juxtaposed moment next to truth, where beauty plays, where all that is, all that was, can be, (time itself) is God in a hammock, between pine trees, as the new moose moves in, and the fox are on the run, and the skies scream this is God.
Where are you, in this dance between the cosmic and the earth, between surreal and the extrapolated parts, between you and who you are and who you were, and who you want to become?
And who the hell else is there but God on every street corner, between each nook and cranny, along the outskirts of imagination, woven inside the tapestries of life?
“Legend says that Persian rug makers, being deeply religious, believed that only God could make something perfect. To demonstrate humility before their deity, these carpet crafters deliberately incorporated a small error into each rug. This “Persian Flaw” revealed the craftsman’s devotion to the Supreme Being.”—Wikipedia.
You are that tapestry. “You are a tree looking at God all Day.” You are God looking at trees all day…and cars and radio waves, and the invisible and the indivisible that has a hankering for cowboy poetry, cowgirl two steps and a tractor wedding.
The God element is everywhere, “every-when,” the perfect concept by Ken Wilbur.
Believe, see, witness, experience, revere, hold sacred in your mind, the God element, this God experience, this God-ness happening.
Up level all your perceptions and consciousness to perceive, to conceive and to believe that you too are the Alan Watts bringing an Eastern dream to mainstream America…laughing all the way through the 1950s.
“Zen … does not confuse spirituality with thinking about God while one is peeling potatoes. Zen spirituality is just to peel the potatoes.”—Alan Watts.
Discover that you are a child of God turning grandparent, God itself, wisdom growing, a song in your heart, a hope and a prayer away from a new kind of nomenclature and nomad wanderings.
“I am not lost I am exploring.”—Boulder bumper sticker. Are you still exploring, letting in just enough light that you can see as far as your head will let you? Then climbing up on that rock, so you can see farther? And you go, “Oh wow.”
Are you Buddhist and not really wanting to even believe in God, or an atheist who is about as fundamentalist as a Jehovah Witness in a blind alley?
You cannot, and do not want to escape from this God element for it is what opens the brain, the mind, the spirit to bliss and joy, to jerk chicken melting in your mouth over a Jamaican ocean/sunset.
The God element is within you. You are within it. It is the “without” watching from “within,” the observer, observing itself. Think of it from this standpoint: You are at 14,000 feet in Colorado on the very tiptop of a mountain watching wild, white mountain goats and the cloud shadows shipped in from Utah and California…and your expanded perspicacious vision lets you see all the way to the edge of reality; so you open wide your mouth and gawk, and enjoy every minute of it, of today, of right now.
For the God element seeps in as you raise up your mind to see it, as you let the sacred and serene and serendipity of being alive thrive in your bloodstream.
The God element is your favorite song blasted at full volume, with you wearing your favorite pair of jeans and hang-down shirt as you “dance circles round the sun.”
Dance, love, be and it is impossible not to see the God element sewn into every stitch of your perfect tapestry life.
There are no, and you have no flaws. For you are the God Element.
